The SpiroDef features an electrostatically charged barrier that filters droplets, aerosols, bacteria and viruses out of the airstream giving better than 99.999% cross contamination efficiency. The SpiroDef protects the patient, operator and equipment from cross infection and contamination during pulmonary function testing. It is used as a back-end solution with the SCHILLER products SpiroScout SP plus, SPIROVIT SP-250, SPIROVIT SP-260, as well as a variant with an integrated mouthpiece for the front-end use of GANSHORN products (f.E. the SpiroScout or the Thorasys tremoFlo).

The three filters SpiroDef ScoutTube, SpiroDef SP-250 and SpiroDef SP-260 are aligned with the SCHILLER products SpiroScout SP plus, SPIROVIT SP-250 and SPIROVIT SP-260.
The SpiroDef Mouthpiece is intended for the GANSHORN SpiroScout (which is also used in the PowerCube Body+ and the PowerCube Diffusion+) or the TremoFlo.
